Magic Mike is an upcoming film directed by Steven Soderbergh starring Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Cody Horn, Joe Manganiello, and Matt Bomer in leading roles. Warner Bros. has scheduled the film for release on June 29, 2012, in the US.

As a male stripper, Magic Mike (Channing Tatum) has everything he could ever want parties that last all night, hot girls and superfluous money. He takes a younger performer under his wing, teaching him the ropes on how to be the best. As he keeps at the top of the game in the clubs, Mike struggles with trying to develop a relationship with a girl he really likes. Will he have to choose between his dream world and real life?

While there are still a few days until the Most Important Film of Our Time hits theaters -- "Magic Mike" opens Friday, June 29 (as if you haven't been counting down the days too) -- it's not too late to consider what life will be like after the greatest male stripper movie ever made comes out.

Thankfully, life post-"Magic Mike" could be just as exciting now that it's being developed into a Broadway musical. Reid Carolin, who produced the movie with Channing Tatum and wrote the screenplay, tells USA Today that he's got Broadway dreams.

"We are working on it as a Broadway show, which would be a different story -- more of a romp, more of a fun night out at a club with a story," Carolin says. "I'm almost more excited about that than the movie because I think it's the perfect thing for women to go see on Broadway.

Channing Tatum stars in this drama following an upstart male stripper (Alex Pettyfer) who is mentored by a veteran dancer, played by Tatum. Steven Soderbergh directed from a script by Reid Carolin, whose screenplay was inspired by Tatum's work as a stripper before he made it in Hollywood. Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Cody Horn, and Olivia Munn co-star.

story line :

The film has grossed $212,490,250 in North America, and $97,000,000 in other countries, as of June 17, 2012, for a worldwide total of $309,490,250.

The film topped the North American box office with $17.5 million on its opening day (Friday, March 2, 2012). During the weekend, it grossed $70.2 million, easily beating the other new nationwide release, Project X ($21.0 million), and all other films. This was the biggest opening for an Illumination Entertainment film, and for a feature film adaptation of a book by Dr. Seuss, as well as the second largest for an environmentalist film. It also scored the third-best debut for a film opening in March, and the eighth-best of all time for an animated film. The Lorax stayed at #1 the following weekend, dropping 45% to $38.8 million and beating all new nationwide releases, including Disney's John Carter (second place). On April 11, 2012, it became the first animated film, in nearly a year, to gross more than $200 million in North America, since Disney's Tangled.

Steel Battalion Review- One Small Step for Kinect
I think we can all agree that giant metal, bi-pedal war machines are pretty badass. I also think that many of you can agree that you would love to drive one of these walking tanks. Lumbering across the battlefield, shaking the earth and bowels of the enemy alike, these huge mechas strike imposing figures against the organic landscape. It’s been a little while since we’ve had a game that puts your but in the seat of one of these iron beasts. But are you ready to join up and enlist for the heavy armored unit? Capcom and From Software sure hope you are and have revived an odd little game from several years ago. Read on to find out why this is an important first step forward and a few missteps to the side in the full review after the jump.

Director Paul W.S. Anderson stated in an interview that their original plan was to produce Retribution and a sixth installment back-to-back, however Anderson later decided to focus on just the fifth film. In the same interview, Anderson stated that if Retribution does well financially, then a sixth film would be developed, and it will be the finale of the series.[32] Milla Jovovich reveal at a Q & A in New York that she's planning to star in a sixth and final installment of the franchise which will close out the series' storyline. Her husband Anderson pitched her the idea while vacationing following wrapping the fifth film and that the series would most likely continue past a sixth film, just not with her as the star.

Aside from the English produced live-action film series, Capcom have also produced two CGI films which are tied to the original game series, the first of which uses the original setting of Raccoon City, but none of the original characters are present. Degeneration is Capcom's first full-length feature film taking place between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, and follows Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.A sequel, titled Resident Evil: Damnation, is currently in development.

THE FORGOTTEN is a Resident Evil Movieverse challenge dedicated to the minor, new and surviving characters of the franchise, none of which include, Janus Prospero (Alice), Albert Wesker, K-Mart and Claire Redfield, as a preparation for Resident Evil Retribution (2012). The challenge’s primary focus is to promote fan works for characters of the movieverse that are relatively ignored or sidestepped in a small fandom that is relatively oversaturated with aforementioned characters above (the first being justified, as she's the main character). Entries allowed consist of written or spoken (podfic) entries sent to “residentevilfic”. There are no claims; you can choose any of the available characters applicable to the challenge with the prompts submitted. A few rules first:

After Washington DC detective Alex Cross is told that a family member has been murdered, he vows to track down the killer. He soon discovers that she was not his first victim and that things are not what they seem.

The new trailer for Alex Cross has hit web. I don’t know exactly what I was looking for… but this wasn’t it.

Actually, I do know what I was looking for. I was looking for movie adaptation that was faithful the book series that inspired it. I was looking for an actor with some depth to portray the main character. I wasn’t looking for a popular franchise to be stripped down and changed so much that it could be any generic ‘cop chases crazy bad guy’ movie.
I’ve been looking forward to Alex Cross since I first heard about it. My interest waned just a little bit when I learned Tyler Perry would have the lead role, but I remained optimistic. Now, all my hopes and dreams lie in ruin.
Psychologist Alex Cross (Tyler Perry) meets his match when he goes against psychotic, mob "hit man", Michael "The Butcher" Sullivan (Matthew Fox). As Cross investigates the hit man's gruesome murders, Sullivan decides to send him a deadly message by killing his wife in cold blood. Enraged, Cross vows to hunt down the killer, if it's the last thing he does. However, Sullivan is a mastermind and continues to evade Cross while pushing him to an ethical breaking point as a cop and father. As Cross closes in on the killer, he discovers evidence that points to the unimaginable- a revelation that can change everything.
