I think we can all agree that giant metal, bi-pedal war machines are pretty badass. I also think that many of you can agree that you would love to drive one of these walking tanks. Lumbering across the battlefield, shaking the earth and bowels of the enemy alike, these huge mechas strike imposing figures against the organic landscape. It’s been a little while since we’ve had a game that puts your but in the seat of one of these iron beasts. But are you ready to join up and enlist for the heavy armored unit? Capcom and From Software sure hope you are and have revived an odd little game from several years ago. Alice continues her battle with the Umbrella corporation, a quest which takes her across the virus stricken earth from Tokyo to New York, Washington D.C. and Moscow. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice is faced with a mind-blowing revelation which forces her to re-think everything that she once thought to be true.

Jovovich was confirmed, as well as Guillory, who will be reprising her role as Jill Valentine. Boris Kodjoe returned as Luther. Colin Salmon who played One and Michelle Rodriguez who played Rain Ocampo in the first film returned. Oded Fehr who portrayed Carlos Olivera in the second and third film returned for the film. Johann Urb is cast as Leon S. Kennedy and Kevin Durand is confirmed to appear in the film as Barry Burton.The character Ada Wong will be played by Li Bingbing.Ali Larter (Claire Redfield), Wentworth Miller (Chris Redfield) and Spencer Locke (K-Mart) will not appear in the film and their absence will be explained by their characters being captured by Umbrella.

Director Paul W.S. Anderson stated in an interview that their original plan was to produce Retribution and a sixth installment back-to-back, however Anderson later decided to focus on just the fifth film. In the same interview, Anderson stated that if Retribution does well financially, then a sixth film would be developed, and it will be the finale of the series.[32] Milla Jovovich reveal at a Q & A in New York that she's planning to star in a sixth and final installment of the franchise which will close out the series' storyline. Her husband Anderson pitched her the idea while vacationing following wrapping the fifth film and that the series would most likely continue past a sixth film, just not with her as the star.

Aside from the English produced live-action film series, Capcom have also produced two CGI films which are tied to the original game series, the first of which uses the original setting of Raccoon City, but none of the original characters are present. Degeneration is Capcom's first full-length feature film taking place between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, and follows Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.A sequel, titled Resident Evil: Damnation, is currently in development.

THE FORGOTTEN is a Resident Evil Movieverse challenge dedicated to the minor, new and surviving characters of the franchise, none of which include, Janus Prospero (Alice), Albert Wesker, K-Mart and Claire Redfield, as a preparation for Resident Evil Retribution (2012). The challenge’s primary focus is to promote fan works for characters of the movieverse that are relatively ignored or sidestepped in a small fandom that is relatively oversaturated with aforementioned characters above (the first being justified, as she's the main character). Entries allowed consist of written or spoken (podfic) entries sent to “residentevilfic”. There are no claims; you can choose any of the available characters applicable to the challenge with the prompts submitted. A few rules first:
